Alviniconcha hessleri is a species of deep water sea snail, a marine gastropod mollusk in the family Provannidae.

These snails are part of the fauna of the hydrothermal vents in Indian Ocean.

An member of Bacteria from class Epsilonproteobacteria occurs as endosymbiont of large gills of Alviniconcha hessleri.[1]
